Applications open for Net Zero Edinburgh and Edinburgh B Corp 500 programmes

Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce has opened applications for two practical business support programmes designed to help local organisations strengthen their sustainability performance and build long-term resilience.

The Net Zero Edinburgh programme supports businesses to measure and understand their carbon footprint, identify practical ways to reduce emissions and develop a tailored net zero plan with clear actions and targets. Delivered through small, interactive cohorts, the programme includes workshops, one-to-one support, review of carbon footprint calculations and detailed feedback on net zero plans.

Alongside this, the Edinburgh B Corp 500 Programme, delivered in partnership with Edinburgh Can B, helps businesses take the first step towards B Corp certification. Participants receive expert-led support to understand the B Corp standards, progress their B Impact Assessment, identify opportunities to strengthen their impact and build confidence communicating their purpose and performance.

Both programmes are designed for businesses facing growing expectations from clients, supply chains and procurement processes to demonstrate responsible and sustainable business practice. Support is practical, hands-on and tailored to each organisation, with participants applying learning directly to their own operations rather than using generic templates.

Edinburgh Chamber has been delivering sustainability and business support programmes across a wide range of sectors, including hospitality, food and drink, professional services, creative industries, tourism and the third sector. Through Edinburgh B Corp 500, the Chamber and Edinburgh Can B aim to support 500 Edinburgh organisations to achieve B Corp certification by 2030.

Businesses interested in joining either programme can contact projects@edinburghchamber.co.uk to find out more or express interest.

These programmes are funded by the UK Government and supported by The City of Edinburgh Council’
