Free travel plan consultancy extended for Scottish workplaces
Travelknowhow Scotland has announced an extension of its free active and sustainable travel planning consultancy support package.
Following the continued success of Travelknowhow Scotland’s free support package to help increase active and sustainable travel in the workplace, the organisation has announced that consultancy slots will be extended for 2023/24.
Funded by Transport Scotland, and delivered via Tactran, the Travelknowhow Scotland project offers travel planning consultancy to workplaces across Scotland and is designed to provide practical measures to those who want to take climate action and encourage their employees to switch to more active and sustainable travel options, and work towards net-zero targets.
A spokesperson at Travelknowhow Scotland commented:
“We are proud to be able to extend our free consultancy package and continue to support workplaces across Scotland. Transport remains one of the biggest contributors of carbon emissions and it is essential that we all change the way we think about travel to minimise our climate impact.
High demand is expected again this year and we have a limited number of slots available, so we would encourage anyone interested to make an expression of interest as early as possible to access our support package.”
Workplaces who sign up for the package can expect three days of free travel planning consultancy support tailored to their requirements. The support will include employee travel survey design and analysis, strategy development, and a bespoke active and sustainable travel action plan, with practical measures and signposting to longer term implementation support via a network of partners.
