LEZ Support Fund for households
The LEZ Support Fund for households offers low-income households, living in or within a 20km radius of an LEZ, a financial incentive to take older, more polluting vehicles off the road.
Grants of up to £3,000 are available per household, provided they meet the eligibility criteria:
- £2,000 is available to eligible households to dispose of their non-compliant vehicle at a Scottish authorised treatment facility.
- A secondary Travel Better grant is also available with maximum value of £1,000 per household. This is based on two adults applying for £500 each. Alternatively, the main applicant can apply for the full £1,000 towards a cargo bike or an adapted cycle option.
Key Eligibility Criteria:
- Must live within a 20km radius of a Scottish LEZ.
- Must be in receipt of an eligible form of means-tested benefits,
- Must own an eligible older vehicle which falls under the following emission standards:
- Euro 3 or older petrol vehicles – this generally applies to vehicles registered before 2006.
