As Scotland’s capital city, we will be supporting Glasgow in delivering a safe and successful conference environment and experience to delegates, businesses, residents and visitors alike.

COP26 will bring its own unique challenges for Scotland’s travel network. Due to the scale and complexity of the event, which involves the likes of world leaders and climate activists, we will experience changes to the movement of traffic around Edinburgh and the east of Scotland.

Edinburgh will be hosting some of the delegates and will have a series of Edinburgh-focused events to promote the city and our work to meet our 2030 net zero target. There may be other impacts on the city.

The UK Government is working closely with the Glasgow City Council and other partners on plans that will keep Scotland running during the COP26. They will be communicating to residents and businesses these impacts closer to the event taking place in November. We will post information to this website once available.
